By making a booking with Pawgeous Mobile Dog Grooming (known herein as Pawgeous), you agree to our standard Terms & Conditions as set out herein:
Bookings, Payments and Cancellations
At the time of booking via our automated bookings system, you may amend your original booking once only (up to 3 days before the original booked date) to a different date (aligned to availability).
If Pawgeous accepts a request to change the services booked, the original price and completion times in the booking will be adjusted by Pawgeous as appropriate, and the changes notified to the customer. Pawgeous may decline to carry out any requested changes due to time availability or other reasons that prohibit the smooth running of Pawgeous business.
* No fee is applied for rescheduled appointments respecting the condition stated above.
You may cancel your original booking up to 3 days before the original date booked. Less than this or a no show to the appointment will result in a one-off charge of the original full groom value. This will need to be paid in full before securing the next appointment.
There may be occasions where additional grooming is required beyond what was initially quoted and couldn’t reasonably be identified or foreseen at the time of booking. We will endeavour to contact you immediately when we are made aware of this, but any additional costs shall be your responsibility, and Pawgeous shall not be liable for these.
Please pay the balance due by cash, credit/debit card or by BACS transfer. Payment must be made when collecting your dog from the salon (card or cash) or during the groom if paying by BACS. We will confirm receipt before releasing your dog to you.
We work by appointment only. If you are late by more than 15 minutes (without notice) your appointment may be rescheduled. Most grooms will take between 1hr 30mins to 2hr 30mins or more depending on the size of the dog and its coat condition. If you think you will be late, please call Pawgeous in advance to advise. Terms & Conditions
Please plan to arrive 5 mins early for your appointment. We do not have facilities to separate more than 1 dog being treated per groomer. WE CAN NOT accept the next dog until the previous dog has left the salon.
I will come out of the salon to take your dog in and will call or text you around 20 minutes before the groom has finished to notify you of a time to collect your dog.
Times for commencement and completion of any grooming service given by Pawgeous are given in good faith, however, unless specifically guaranteed, Pawgeous will not be liable for any delay in commencement or completion of a grooming service.
Where appropriate, Pawgeous will notify the customer of any delays at the earliest opportunity. Terms & Conditions
Your Pet’s Health & Welfare
By attending the appointment, you the owner, confirm that your dog is fit and healthy.
Grooming of sick and/or elderly dogs is entirely at owner’s risk. We do not take responsibility if your dog develops an allergic reaction to any grooming products. Please let us know of anything in advance, if known, or please notify us of ANY irritations caused afterward, there are changes that can be made for future grooms to minimise these factors. Terms & Conditions
We are at liberty to muzzle your dog if it presents danger to us. Any dog that portrays any aggressive behaviour will not be accepted for grooming. Please notify me beforehand if your dog has any aggressive tendencies or behavioural issues and we can advise further.
Accidents do occur, this comes with working with tools that are very sharp on a moving object such as a dog. Every precaution will be taken to prevent injury from occurring, however, if this does happen and your dog needs to be taken to a vet, we are not liable for costs incurred. Terms & Conditions
Neglected & Matted Coats
I will not accept liability for any conditions arising following the clipping of a matted dog. Examples are, but not limited to, irritation, redness, and nicks from the blades. Conditions can already be present beneath the knots and matts that are not visible until the matts have been removed. We will always be honest and advise if we feel a vet should examine your dog.
Having matted hair or tight knots removed from your dog may make him/her feel strange for a few days after being clipped so be aware they may cause injury to themselves via scratching. Terms & Conditions
We will only pluck the hairs from the opening to the ears if the owner has requested this and if the dog is a regular visitor to our salon for grooming. We can advise the owner how to pluck the hair away so you are able to do this at home, alternatively a vet will be able to do this for you if you are not confident enough to do this yourself.
Fleas & Ticks
If fleas have been found on your dog and we have not been informed of the possibility of your dog having fleas, an additional cost of £20 (on top of the groom price) will be incurred to pay for the products required to treat the salon and prevent cross contamination to other dogs. We will take extra care in the bathing process to maximise the chance of washing them all off the dog’s coat during the bath.
If this occurs, you are also advised to treat the dog once you are home, products are readily available from retailers or vets. Terms & Conditions
I do not preform anal gland expression. Please seek treatment from your vet for this.
Due to the nature of our work, we do not offer or imply any sort of guarantee or warranty. We are happy to offer advice on how to care for your dog following a groom, but Pawgeous cannot be held responsible for your actions, or any subsequent issues caused directly or indirectly by yourself. Terms & Conditions
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your dog’s groom, please let us know ASAP.
We welcome feedback, and this can be done via the Pawgeous Google Business Page or Facebook Business page.
If there is an issue, we do however request you to discuss with us first to give us the chance to explain or rectify the issue should it need readdressing.
